How effective was Italian Singles Connection?

Italian Singles Connection (italiansinglesconnection.com) was the first dating agency that I ever tried. I had seen and heard about other online dating agencies but this one appealled to me for a variety of reasons. I am a thirty five year old single Italian male who runs his own business with very little time for socialising, hence why I approached Italian Singles Connection. I was particularly looking to meet an Italian lady so it made sense to approach Italian Singles Connection since they make a point on their website about it being a site for like-minded Italians to meet. This is what they claim "Meet Italian Singles In Your Area", " Online Personals for Italian singles" and "Connect with thousands of Italian women or men today".

Italian Singles Connection is a singles online community dedicated to helping men and women meet other singles in a comfortable online environment. It is a source for creating relationships ranging from companionship to friendship, romance to marriage. Italian Singles Connection offer chat rooms, message boards, photo personals, a photo gallery, anonymous private mailboxes, and much more.

The website itself was quite easy to navigate even for a new user like me. The form was also quite simple to complete and I was able to create my own profile quite quickly. Once the profile was completed, it was uploaded together with my photograph and I was then ready to accept messages from potential soulmates. Once you join you can search and view any member that catches your eye. Your profile will be activated immediately and appear. Members can then immediately begin sending you messages via Mingle Mail, your own private mailbox at Italian Singles Connection. So far so good.

My problems started once I signed in to view the other profiles from which I was to make my selection. The first issue I had was that the majority of the profiles were male! The second problem was that the choice of Italian women was very limited. The majority of the female profiles were made up from ladies of other nationalities. This rather annoyed me as I was keen to meet an Italian llady and the website's own words stated that it was " Online Personals for Italian singles"!!

I persevered for four months before eventually giving it up as a bad loss. Although the whole experience started off rather well, it rapidly deteriorated into a disappointing episode with me having wasted a lot of time and nothing to show for it.
